It's no secret that we love social media editors here at Dash Hudson HQ. In our ongoing In Conversation series, we summoned Lisa Maynard-Antem, social media manager at Harrods and Instagram expert at large, to share her wisdom with us 😇.
Get to know her below!
We're huge fans of world-renowned shopping mecca Harrods here at Dash Hudson. So much so that we've written not once, but twice about their killer social endeavors. Naturally, we wanted to have a chat with the one who is behind it all, and examine the landscape from her perspective. Meet Lisa Maynard-Atem, aka @stylisa, aka social media marketing guru extraordinaire.
By day, she cuts her teeth as the social media manager for the beloved British department store. But beyond regular work hours, she takes on the role of social media specialist who lends her expert knowledge to the Instagram marketing community. Having helped Harrods grow their Instagram account to a whopping 1.1 million followers, the girl certainly knows what she's talking about as it relates to social management.
The fashion stylist turned social marketing expert has been passionately crafting the Harrods Instagram content (hello amazing holiday images!), and now she's spreading her wisdom to help others figure out what to post on Instagram to help propel their brand.
Lend an ear over here and take out your note pads!📝
Lisa Maynard-Atem, Social Media Manager, Harrods
Graphic Design. I chose it because I had always had an interest in design and I was working as a designer at the time.
I was self-employed and needed a cost-effective way to promote myself. I started using Facebook and Twitter to get my business out there. Companies started asking me for social media advice and it kinda went from there. I went from being a fashion stylist to a social media professional.
Facebook. My mum, sister and I have our own little group where we share family stuff. As I don't live with my mum, it's nice that we have this little social space for just the three of us.
Authenticity and having a human story that people are able to connect with. I'm always interested in the story behind the content.
I follow a few accounts about french fries as they are my favourite thing to eat.
My mum, my sister, my friends.
So many places but Petra, Jordan is top of the list.
Audrey Hepburn
Prosecco, french fries, mini eggs, peanut butter M&Ms.
Dancing in Soho.
Now go give Lisa and Harrods a follow!
