Connecting Your Pinterest Account
to Dash Hudson

Before You Get Started
To connect your Pinterest account to Dash Hudson, you’ll need:
- The username and password to your Pinterest Business account. Unlike other social channels, Pinterest doesn’t allow personal accounts to access a business account. Instead, you’ll need to share login details. Personal accounts can, however, be given access to the Pinterest Ads Platform.
- Pinterest enabled on your Dash Hudson account. If you don’t have Pinterest enabled please contact your Customer Success Representative.
Connecting your Pinterest Account to Dash Hudson
- Getting Started
Go to either Dash Hudson | Pinterest or Dash Hudson | Platform Connection - Authorize Dash Hudson to access your Pinterest Data.
Click on either “Connect Pinterest”, or the Pinterest section of your brand’s connections.
- Authorize Dash Hudson
You’ll need to authorize Dash Hudson to access your Pinterest data. Click “Give Access”. If you aren’t already logged in you may need to do so now. - Get Started
Once you’ve authorized Dash Hudson, you’re good to go!

Troubleshooting
General Troubleshooting Tips
- Confirm that the Dash Hudson team has the right Pinterest handle for your brand with your Customer Success Representative. If you aren’t sure who they are, you can always reach out to support@dashhudson.com, or the chat on the Dash Hudson platform.
- Clear your cookies and cache (instructions for Google Chrome)
- Try an incognito browser (if it works in incognito it’s a good indicator it’s a cache problem)
- Try logging out of Dash Hudson and logging back in
When I Tried to Authorize Pinterest, the Connection Failed
Step 1: Check that you have a business account
Go to Pinterest or Pinterest Account Settings. Look for the following under Account Settings:
If you see either of these prompts to unlock and use business tools, you don’t have a business account. If you navigate to Pinterest | Account Settings and you see the below top navigation you’re definitely in a business account.
Step 2: If you don’t have a business account, create one.
- Go to pinterest.com/business/create.
- Choose your language and location and add your business name.
- Connect your other account to Pinterest.

I’ve Tried Everything, and I Still Can’t Get Access. What Do I do?
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Once I connect my Pinterest, how far back will I be able to see?
A: On the date you connect you'll see data as far back as 90 days for individual Pin stats, with an estimate for all time. After your connection is live for 90 days, you’ll be able to see back as far as your connection date for individual Pin stats. Your follower data will only start from your connection date onwards as we can't access historical data.
Q: Why did my Pinterest disconnect?
A: Pinterest accounts on the Dash Hudson platform will disconnect when there is a password change and/or when a brand revokes the Dash Hudson app access in their Pinterest account settings. There may also be issues if your account isn’t configured as a business account. If you try to re-connect and it doesn’t work please let us know!
